Spring Fair: Our Spring Fair is fast approaching so please put the date in your diary. We would be very grateful if you could start collecting books, toys etc. We would welcome these items w/c 7th May.
We will be having 2 mufti days where the children can wear fancy dress in return for a chocolate bar to sell on our chocolate tombola.
We are also having a wine or water stall so would be grateful of any donations of wine.
We are hoping to have a cake stall so if there are any budding bakers out there we would welcome donations of cakes. Could these be brought in on the Friday or on the morning of the fair please with a list of ingredients.
Whole school photo: The school photographer will be visiting pre-school on Monday 4th June at 9.15 am to take a whole school photograph. If you wish your child to be in this photograph and it is not their normal session please arrive at pre-school at 9.10am.
Coffee Morning: We would like to invite you to our coffee morning to discuss the latest assessment we have completed on your child over the holidays. This will also give you a chance to discuss any issues or concerns you may have. We have arranged 2 dates to try and make sure we see all parents, although if neither of these are convenient for you then please speak to your key person. Could you please let us know which date you will be attending.
Healthy Early Years (HEY)
We are very committed to ensuring that we keep our children as active as possible whilst at Pre-School. We always begin our day with ‘mini movers’ and are always looking for new ideas for different ways to exercise. The Change 4 Life program has some great ideas for ‘10 minute shake ups’ (Disney related) and information on all the ways in which exercise can benefit the whole family. If you are interested then please check out change 4 life and click on the 10 minute shake up icon.
We are looking forward to our new topic this term ‘Fun and Fantasy’. We will be looking at lots of different themes i.e. superheroes, dragons, fairies and starting with pirates.
The children will be looking for treasure in the sandpit, dressing the pirate, climbing the rigging, walking the plank, making their own pirate ships, writing a message in a bottle, designing their own pirate flags and making their own pirate ship out of crates and other resources.
If you have any resources which could support this topic we would be very grateful.
If you require any extra sessions for September please speak to a member of staff. The sessions soon start to fill up and we would like to offer them to our current children first. Also if you know of any parents looking for a pre-school place please let us know or let them know of our open evening.
Change in weather!
As the weather is meant to be changing could you please put sun cream on your child before they come into pre-school. If your child attends all day on a Wednesday or Thursday then please bring in a named bottle of sun cream so we can apply this after lunch.
Could we please ask parents/carers that they do not park on the double yellow lines outside of the pre-school on drop off or pick up times. This makes it dangerous for our children and families to see oncoming traffic whilst crossing the road. We do offer parking permits for the cark park opposite the pre-school for these times.
