World Book Day: This year at pre-school we will be taking part in World Book Day on Thursday 1st March. Children are able to come in fancy dress and bring their favourite book. A reminder will be sent nearer the time.
Easter Bonnet Parade: Children are asked to make bonnets/hats at home and bring them to pre-school to wear in the parade which will start at 11.15 and finish as per the normal session on 29th March. If this is not your child’s normal session they are very welcome to come along at 11.15 with their adult to take part. There will be a prize for the best bonnet/hat and a small prize for each child that enters.
Healthy Early Years (HEY)
It was lovely to see some parents/carers join us for mini movers last week. Click here to find other fun ways to exercise with your children including potato golf!!!!
We would like to say a massive thank you to Vicky Poole and the Santander Foundation, who match funded a grand total of £970.91 for some of our events last year. We would also like to thank Allan Simpson our treasurer who dealt with all the paper work and correspondence. The children have had their thinking hats on deciding what toys they would like, and the staff have had their input thinking about things they would like, to improve the learning and outcomes for the children. This will be discussed at the next committee meeting.
30 Hour Funding/Extra Sessions
Could you please speak to a member of staff if you have not applied for the 30 hours funding and wish to do so for the summer term. Funding codes need to be in before the end of this term ready for after Easter. If they are not received before this date we will not be able to ensure the funding for the summer term.
We have limited spaces left if you require any extra sessions so please book now.
Could we please ask parents/carers that they do not park on the double yellow lines outside of the pre-school on drop off or pick up times. This makes it dangerous for our children and families to see oncoming traffic whilst crossing the road. We do offer parking permits for the cark park opposite the pre-school for these times.
It was lovely to see so many of you at our recent coffee morning. If however you didn’t manage to make it please could you make an appointment to see you child’s key person who will talk to you about your child’s latest assessment and talk with you about their next steps. This should only take a few minutes and can be done at the end of a session.
As part of our ongoing safeguarding procedures could we please ask that mobile phones are not used on the premises. Could we also ask that if you have changed you contact numbers or address you please let us know. We have had a couple of occasions where numbers were no longer valid.
