Welcome to St Nicholas
and
St Faith Preschool
St Nicholas and St Faith Pre-school is a nurturing and friendly preschool run by a team of dedicated and caring staff. We have a warm, welcoming atmosphere where the children and their families are welcomed into our community. Every child's individuality is important to us, and we provide opportunities to explore, discover and create by responding to the needs and desires of all our children as early learners. OfSTED registered for a maximum of 24 children from age two years upwards, we operate with a high staff-to-children ratio.
Our preschool is set in our spacious community hall attached to the Church of St Nicholas and St Faith. In recent years, our preschool community came together to redecorate the expansive hall - from skirting boards to ceiling! This has provided a warm, calm and welcoming environment for us and the wider community. Outside, we have a large garden area which includes a flexible free-play area, raised gardening bed, teepee and mini wildlife zone - all of which are used come rain or shine! With our indoor space being so large, we are also able to offer our indoor climbing frame when the weather is a little more unrelenting!
Situated alongside the Tamar Bridge, we are within easy reach by public transport and have plentiful free parking for collections and drop-offs - with free parking passes to use in the adjacent car park during these times.
Located opposite Saltash Memorial Gardens, the children often play together before and after preschool while parents have a little catch up - we are a lovely little community.
Our Aims
St Nicholas and St Faith Preschool's aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment within which your child is able to learn and develop as an individual. We achieve this by maintaining a balance of free choice and by offering adult led experiences.
Our Values
Respect for each other;
Variety and choice for each child to support their learning experience within the EYFS Framework;
Positive relationships with parents, whose involvement shapes the success of the pre-school;
The continued professional development of our experienced and qualified staff.
Congratulations to all our lovely children who celebrated their final day of preschool with us - you did so well with your leaving assembly - you made us all so proud - and we loved our little party afterwards. We shall miss you all so much. Please remember - we are a family here and we welcome visits from our wonderful children: come and visit to read a story, sing a song, play together or just to have a hug! We love to see you all as you continue to grow up. Thank you for being a part of our family.

Fire Station Trip
What a fabulous trip we all had to Saltash Fire Station! We certainly have some wonderful firefighters in the making!
Summer Fair
What a superb turn out for our spring fair this year! It was so wonderful to welcome our lovely children and their families and, as always, such a pleasure to see our children who have grown and flown to primary schools. What a lovely sense of community. Thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the fun! We raised an astonishing amount of over £1,200 ! Thank you too, to our wonderful fund-raising committee and our dedicated staff who organised and ran the day.
Big thanks also to Chapple Property Management for sponsoring the event and to Billy Whizz for his wonderful balloon making skills!
